What do you do when your kids head out of town a little earlier than you expected??? Go out on a date!!! Thanks for having fun with me my love! And thanks Carla for taking my kids to Thatcher with you and G-ma/pa Melser for enjoying our kids while we were at Girls Camp!

Our family at the Grand Canyon. Our kids had never been and Chuck and I hadn't been since Nov 1997! It rained, so we didn't see all we wanted to, so we're planning a trip back soon!

Mom... we're bored! Ever heard that? When I heard that, I told my kids to get outside and be active. What can we do? Ah-ha!!! Turn on the sprinkler and jump on the trampoline! Super fun!

The funeral for Joey Eldon Mortensen was held today.
This man was loved and respected among many people!
What an inspiring funeral to attend!
This man will truly be missed by all who knew him!

I'm grateful for the knowledge that I have that I will be
reunited with those who have gone on from this world...
it's such a comforting feeling.

Joey Eldon Mortensen passed away on May 15, 2009 and during the week before his funeral, these leather roses were made for his casket... they were so beautiful! So much love went into making these! I believe over 150 were made!

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!
We celebrated by going to Chuck E Cheese.
The kids enjoy getting to run around and just be kids!

One fun thing with summer is swimming. One of our favorite places to go is to Grandma Mortensen's pool! There is a rock slide, a basketball hoop and a spa! Fun for everyone!

The Father's and Son's outing. This year Tyler took Dillon (a neighbor friend) with him. He had fun playing in the creek, swinging on the rope swing, fishing and hanging around! What a fun time he had with his dad! As a tradition, the boys go up on Thursday evening so they have all day Friday to play before heading home on Saturday.

What do the girls do when the boys go Father's and Son's??? PARTY!!! We went to the movies and saw Hannah Montana... we had the WHOLE theater to ourselves! I let the girls dance in the front aisle when they usually can't do that kind of thing in the theater! Then we went to lunch and SHOPPING!!! Super fun girls day! (Did I mention Maddy skipped school... yeah, I'm the COOLEST mom ever!!!)

A pedicure is always a nice spoiling present for Mother's Day. So I took my mom for a nice relaxing visit to get our feet and legs rubbed while sitting in the massage chairs! Aren't our toes so cute?

Landon Wade Rowley
made his grand entrance into the world today
weighing in at 7 lbs 12 ozs
and was 20 1/4 in. long!
He is baby #5 for Billy and Karen!

Our beloved computer CRASHED this morning! Wrong timing... it's almost the end of school!!! FINALS!!! PROJECTS!!! Oh why now??? Luckily I had a feeling to get the computer backed up just yesterday and thanks Chuck for helping get that done while I was gone! I would be LOST without all my pictures!

We went out with the Mortensen's this night to Papa Kelsey's for dinner and then to the Ward Adult Party. It was a 50's Icecream Shop theme. We had fun enjoying desserts and a program with audience participation! You know Chuck and I were in the middle of it all!
