Making Rolls (aka... becoming domestic)!!! I went to Karen's house today and learned how to make "Knot Rolls". It was so much fun and super easy! I think I can do it all on my own now! Thanks Karen for helping me learn something new!

Tuesday... 2-17-09

Macee was not feeling 100% this day and she laid around for the most part. She even came in and laid on the counter in the kitchen while I was cooking dinner. Poor little girl!

Can you say WEBKINZ PARTY??? All the cousins on the Rowley side spent the night at Aunt Karen & Uncle Billy's house Sunday night (no school Monday) and they had so much fun! Macee and Reagan set up all the webkinz and informed me that there were 25!

Sunday... 2-15-09

Our family Valentine celebration. Since we had so much family stuff happening on Valentine's Day, we decided to do our (now) traditional candlelight dinner with the kids. We let them drink out of fancy glasses and we have sparkling cider. They look forward to it now!

How fitting... we loved Grandpa so much, why not have his funeral on Valentine's Day! What a bittersweet moment. We will miss him so much here, but we know he is home now and that is where he needed to be!

Grandpa Rowley's viewing.

I decided I wanted a picture of my kids looking in at Grandpa for this day's picture. It just meant a lot to me.

Thursday... 2-12-09

While family was in town for Grandpa Rowley's funeral, we decided to have a "Rowley Cousin Get-Together". It was so much fun. It was great to see cousins I haven't seen in forever and visit with everyone! Pictured here is Tamara, me, Mandee and Marlee.

Sidewalk chalk... isn't it so much fun??? Let the kids loose with their imaginations and see what they create!

Tuesday... 2-10-09

McTeachers Night at McDonalds (the teachers work alongside the employees there). Our school always does this and the kids so look forward to going. It is probably the most CRAZY night there... but we really enjoy it! Here is Maddy and her teacher... Mrs. T.

Monday... 2-9-09

Macee went to to playday at Garrett's house. She is becoming quite independent when it comes to dressing herself, but she usually turns out like this... backwards pants! But isn't she so super cute?

Sunday... 2-8-09

Cheerios are the YUMMIEST cereal. Our whole family loves them! Just thought I would showcase one of our favorite breakfast cereals!

Heehee... Macee got up and got herself dressed today. At least her colors coordinate! Now we should work on patterns!

Friday... 2-6-09

Macee's first Primary Activity Day! All my kids now officially are in primary! It's so crazy! They are all growing up so fast!

Thursday... 2-5-09

I got a piano piece to work on from Nichelle and I decided to test my talent at the violin. So I took out Tyler's violin (my old one from forever ago) and tried it out. I did OK at it. I did sound a bit squeaky (I took from 4th-6th grade), but I knew where all the notes were! It was fun. Maybe when I have more time (haahaa) I'll see about picking it up again!

Wednesday... 2-4-09

Flowers for mom! I do enjoy when my hubby and/or kids get me flowers. These are from all of them... aren't they beautiful???

Tuesday... 2-3-09

We took Fawn out for her b-day celebration with her girl family and friends! It was a surprise for her (she absolutely hates things like this... she's kinda shy), but I do believe she enjoyed herself (and her chocolate chip paradise dessert)!!!
Picture to come!!!

Monday... 2-2-09

Nothing better than snuggling on the couch and reading LOTS of books!

Sunday... 2-1-09

SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!!! Our very own Arizona Cardinals made it in, but lost by 4 points... BUMMER!!! We didn't watch the whole game, but did see the results! Maybe next year they can take it!!!

Saturday... 1-31-09

Fawn and Chuck have birthday's just 1 day apart (Chuck's the 29th and Fawn's the 30th), so we decided to go out for a birthday date to celebrate. We went to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner and then to see Bride Wars. After the movie, Chuck and Devon had to play the shooting arcade game. What fun boys!

Friday... 1-30-09

Visiting Great-Grandma Nichols is such a fun thing to do. The kids get to play, dress-up, eat lunch and then have treats! She made them icecream cones and let them put sprinkles on them and then they also got a Valentine Cake... YUM!!! I'm grateful my kids get to know my grandma and get to enjoy the fun things she does to make kids feel special!

Thursday... 1-29-09

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Chuck! Wow... 34 years old now. We celebrated by taking him to The Roadhouse. When it's your b-day there, you have to sit on a saddle. He was a good sport and didn't fight the idea! The kids loved celebrating with him!

Wednesday... 1-28-09

NEW BIKES!!! Tyler and Maddy were in need of new bikes that would fit them (you know... kids seem to grow too fast). So we found them bikes at Wal-Mart for a great deal and bought them. Macee gets to take over the princess bike (which we will be adding training wheels to!).

Tuesday... 1-27-09

For Chuck's birhtday this year we decided to celebrate each day of his birthday week. We gave him a gift everyday that said "On the (first) day of your birthday week your family gave to you..." It was such a fun thing to do and a special way to tell him we love him!

Chuck has been joining my brother and my dad on hikes lately. This particular day Billy & Chuck hiked Ridgeline (Superstition Mountains) and had a great time. Although the hike was really tough, they came out alive and with a picture of this cool rock. What do you think it looks like??? A wolf head? Chuck said he would've carried it down, but any extra weight at that time was not an option. So he captured it with a picture!

Friday... 1-23-09

Chuck received the "Saguaro Club" Award for his job at SmartPractice selling dental supplies. In order to get this award, you have to be in the top sellers of the company. In his group he ended #2 for the year. I'm so proud of him. He is such a hard worker! Congrats Chuck!!!
I don't have the picture available yet (needs to be e-mailed to me).
